My son and I went on a morning stroll down the road just now, and I noticed something...?

ALL of the litter in the ditch was beer cans. Nothing else, no pop cans, no juice bottles, no nothing but alcoholic drink cans. Is this a sign that I may live in an area with a high amount of alcohol abuse, or is this a typical thing to find in a ditch?

*btw~ I live in what is considered the 'county' (rural country) so there are not a whole lot of people coming through to clean these things up. This is not a 'bad' area~ just back woods, so to speak.

im in high school
and i have spent at least 2000 on drugs or more
not to proud of that but i am doing a lot less drugs and partying..suprinslgy when i did party my grades were better anyhow

my cousions 2 are in college
im close with them but besides 1 of them
all their freinds have the worst taste in beer, they buy bud light, naty light, natural light, coors light, all the sh#t beer you can think of

You mean to tell me they couldn't do a Monday night Special lead by AJ, Joe, Daniels, and X Division Match with Suicide, Red, Shelly, Sabin, Kiyoshi, Kazarian and Jay Lethal, and Tag Team match with British Invasion vs Generation ME vs LAX. Knockout Championship with Daffney and Taylor Wilde and Knockout Tag Team with Hamada and Sarita vs the beautiful. Basically they have talent to compete with the WWE but the INVASION of old WWE Greats and not so Greats is going to be the death knell to them.

I have been throughout europe but I feel the most home in london and the united kingdom. Why? I am an Asian Indian-American myself. Is that why? I just left my former boyfriend of 5 years, due to extreme physical and mental violence, along with discovering he had a cocaine habit (at least I know now why he couldn't help pay the bills...)
I moved in with my mother to try and get my life pieced back together... I had no idea how out of whack she was. She throws temper tantrums. I drink a beer (at 29) and smoke a cigarette (I don't smoke frequently - 3-4 times a month) and she storms around the house, acting like a martyr, and going to bed at 7:30 or so, just to shut me and my step father out. I REALLY don't know what to do. My stepfather is at a loss as well, but he's a bit more tied down than I am.
I'm a nurse. A psych major. And red flags are going off... I can tell people how 'they' should handle it, but I don't know what I should do. She refuses to acknowledge that she has any problems. I don't know what to do. She is exactly like my grandmother, who was diagnosed with several problems.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm already in a bad spot BEFORE her, but now... I'm feeling like I've got cement blocks tethered to my ankles and am being dropped into the sea.

Was I drunk or was it just in my head?

I'm 5'3 and 112 pounds. It was my first time drinking. I had one beer on an empty stomach, and then I just felt sort of weird and giggly. It kind of felt like everything was rocking back and forth. Then I just got really sleepy.
Was I drunk? Is it even possible to get drunk off of 1 beer? Or was it just psychological?

I've made some very bad decisions lately?

I'm in a bad spot in my life right now, and I have done everything I can think of to make it better. Even earned my bachelor's degree. Now I student loans to pay back and not even a minimum wage job to go to work to.

So, my birthday was Wednesday and I'm trying to make friends so I went out with some people I knew from facebook and they insisted I drink shots. Well, I told them I didn't drink liquor. Just beer. But, they put them in front of me...then again...then again. I haven't heard from the people I went out with since then, should I just write a general email saying, "Oh boy, I said I shouldn't drink those shots...hope I didn't do anything too goofy." "At least my cab got me home safely." "What are you up to this weekend?"


Would something like that work because it acknowledges I might have been a bit funky...I think I was doing great, I just had the urge to leave cause I was feeling drunk so I called a cab and then said "bye!" and I think they were shocked because they went there for my birthday and I wasn't there for 2 hours. So, I need to explain something, and keep it brief. Trying to make friends is difficult and these are nice people. I have a feeling my behavior was cool, but they just thought my running off early was rude since they traveled there for my benefit.


The reason I don't drink liquor is because even small amounts cause me to blackout.
What do I do?
As for the comment about working for an English as a second language institute/program. I thought about that. I'm actually waiting for a reply for a graduate program in management of technical education. So, if I get into that, I should be able to get one of the jobs they have on campus for grad students. I'm hoping to start in June!
